EchoGuide

SPEAK IT.IT TAPS.

Most Android apps assume you can see them. EchoGuide removes that assumption — you say what you want, and it drives the real app on your behalf.

What it sounds like

You speak the way you normally would. EchoGuide says what it is doing, then does it.

  1. You“Open my messages and read the last one.”
  2. EchoGuide“Opening Messages.”
  3. EchoGuidetaps Messages, scrolls to the newest thread
  4. EchoGuide“Message from Selam. Are you free at four?”

Illustrative. There is no command list to memorise — phrasing is up to you, in Amharic or English.

How it is built

One command, five gates

  1. Capture

Wake word and voice activity detection run on the phone. Audio under 0.4 seconds never leaves it.

  2. Transcribe

Addis AI speech models, purpose-built for Amharic rather than retrofitted from English.

  3. Gate

Three signals decide whether the transcript is trustworthy. A bad guess is worse than asking twice.

  4. Plan

The model proposes a sequence of interface actions against what is currently on screen.

  5. Execute

A native Kotlin accessibility service performs the taps. Every state is announced aloud.

Silence is a crash

If you cannot see the screen, an app that goes quiet is indistinguishable from one that has died. Every state — every rejection, every error — is spoken.

Stores nothing

No audio. No transcripts. Retention is opt-in and reversible, and the default keeps nothing at all.

Say it once. It does the rest.
